RESOURCES : Services
By policy, the Commission on Secondary Schools makes two types of services available to member and non-member institutions: those provided as a part of membership dues and those provided for a fee. Explanations of the types of services in each category are listed in the institutional improvement services policy.
Surveys - Our Standards for Accreditation have been formatted in survey form for use by staff, parents, and students. .
Services for a Fee - In addition to those standard services provided
as part of the accreditation process, the Middle States staff can be contacted regarding a wide range of institutional improvement services
offered to member and non-member institutions. Fees are charged based on
the contracted service required. Some services purchased in the past include:
Document Preparation - The creation of institution-specific tools
for planning and/or assessment have enhanced the improvement process.
Facilitation - Plan-to-Plan sessions for complex organizations,
Board training, and strategic planning are some of the facilitations
that have preceded or followed accreditation self study and visits.
Workshops - in addition to
standard workshops scheduled for general overviews of accreditation protocols
or training of chairs, MSA offers workshops on topics related to institutional
improvement, but not required for successful completion of the accreditation
process. Those scheduled and open to all (as opposed to contracted for a particular
institution) are listed on our workshops section of this web site.
