RESOURCES : Materials for Volunteers
Becoming a volunteer can be as easy as asking your principal to submit your name. CSS also welcomes volunteers from non-member schools.
Faculty and administrators who serve as volunteers find serving on a team both challenging and rewarding. Participating on a team visit provides an excellent professional development opportunity for you as a visiting team member. It can also provide you with an experience that can be of value to your school. Visiting team experience is invaluable to those who will be involved in preparing their own school for accreditation.
MSA volunteers find their experience to be “ a collegial growth process”, “a chance to share professional expertise, and “an opportunity to learn from other schools”. For many it is “far more valuable than other professional development activities that they have engaged in”
Professional development hours are awarded for team participation.
Find out today how you can become an MSA volunteer by contacting your principal or by contacting the Commission on Secondary Schools at info<at>css-msa.org.
Volunteers have access to a number of materials to help assist
them in preparing for service on a visiting team

school that used either the CSI or Reflections protocol and wishes to renew its
accreditation for a second five year term.
