WORKSHOPS & MEETINGS : By Topic

General Information
Typically, workshops are free of charge to representatives of Middle States member schools, except where noted. Enrollment in each workshop is limited to 22, and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Due to the limited space, we reserve the right to limit attendance from each school to two attendees, and we require reservations at ALL workshops. We request 72 hours or more notice of cancellation on reservations for workshops so that those on waiting lists may have an opportunity to attend. Substitutes for registrants are welcome. Registering for a workshop that is indicated as "CLOSED" will place you on a waiting list for that workshop, and will alert us to the fact that we may need to add an additional session. If you need a workshop that we do not offer, please contact Lynn Mclean at lmclean<at>css-msa.org or 215-662-5603 x5040 / Direct Dial 267-284-5040

To register online for a workshop, you will need a membership username and password. This information has been sent to the primary contact (usually the head or principal) of each member institution. Middle States will be happy to send the user name and password to the primary contact we have on file via phone, fax, or email, if you request it via phone, fax, or email. (Logging in as a member institution, also provides you with access to more materials online available only to members.) For questions about registering for a workshop please contact Contact the Middle States office at 267-284-5070 or amoyer@cess-msa.org

Building Blocks for the Future

Building Blocks for the Future: Developing Effective Objectives and Action Plans
****Fee for this workshop is $125 per participant

**Middle States’ accreditation protocols emphasize future planning for improved student performance. Are you wondering how to translate your priorities for student growth and improvement into objectives that are clear, focused, and sustainable? Does the idea of long-term action planning have you baffled or overwhelmed? This workshop will offer guidance through the process, including activities and examples that will guide you to success as you prepare for your team visit. You will come away with a solid sense of how objectives can be structured for maximum effectiveness, and how to construct an action plan that will serve as a useful framework for school improvement throughout the term of accreditation. This day will help steer you toward success, will help you to avoid the most common pitfalls in the planning process, and will allow an exchange of ideas among participants.

Reservations required. Full payment for each registration is due to Middle States not later than 10 business days prior to the workshop session. Middle States accepts as full payment either a check in the full amount or a purchase order from the institution.
